  1. Hi Dan, I notice your Mom uses the flap part of the chicken wing in her
dishes. Interesting. Does she buy in bulk at the Asian markets? I also like
her use of the teaspoon and the coffee mug, she uses for measuring. Thanks
    for the vid.

  7. The water absorbs the flavour of the garlic and ginger. If you just mix the
wings with the soy sauce without the water, it would still taste pretty
good. Thanks for checking out my video on Chinese Soy Sauce Chicken Wings.

  20. As far as I can remember, my mom uses the flap part of the chicken wing in
her dishes. Most likely she doesn’t want to waste anything. She generally
buys meat and produce from the local Chinese supermarkets and sometimes
from regular supermarkets. Generally she doesn’t buy in bulk. Previously
she didn’t use measuring spoons or cups, but since we have been making our
videos she is much more aware of measuring everything. Thanks for your
    questions and comments.

  24. Love this video! :) Like your mom, my grandma and mother always used all
parts of the chicken wing because they never wanted to waste anything. When
they were living in Hong Kong, it was difficult to have access to fresh
meat and poultry so when they were able to have meat, they made sure to not
    waste anything!

  25. Hey, you are amazing. You know what, I came from the same place as your
grandparents, Kaiping (Hoiping) . From your video, I guess that you
actually went to my father’s village: Yanhuo village ( The one has the
pond.). I can understand your grandma’s talking. How rare. I am very glad
to find some very unique authentic hometown recipes oversea.
