  8. No matter the culture, you always cook the food that takes the longest to cook FIRST…for example they put the onions, chilies and garlic in FIRST…

  9. @madhunov aCCENT? WHAT accent? They sound just great! I have indian customers that come to my store that speak really fast, but I’m past the accent. I rarely hear one. Now the speed of their speech..omg I can’t keep up. But these lovely ladies sound like my aunts and cousins from Louisiana…lol

  12. I find it much easier to cook from written recipes than videos; do you have this recipe written out somewhere? This recipe is better than the other ones I’ve found online.

I am just learning to cook Indian food, and tomorrow I’m planning on making a foray to a local Indian market (we’re lucky to have many in my area) to buy some spices and things.   25. Hi ladies, I made this tonight, and it is delicious! I cheated a bit and used dried methi leaves — I’m sure it’s better with fresh leaves, and when I get some, I’ll try it again. My version also came out quite spicy, as I didn’t take the seeds out of the green chili (okay by me, as I like spicy). One question: where did you get your wok/frying pan? I used a regular large pan (not a non-stick one), and now I have potato muck stuck to the bottom. I’d love to have one like yours!
